Innovative Cabin Interior Featured at AIX
Davis Junction, IL February 10, 2016 Skandia, Inc. will showcase two new and highly innovative interior renovation products at this year’s Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX) April 5-7 in Hamburg, Germany. A new low profile hook and loop system for better appearing and improved carpet retention as well as a revolutionary fire protected seat foam component.
The Low Profile Carpet Retention system ends bulky and unsightly appearance of cabin carpet. The hook and loop is so low profile it appears to have been eliminated, yet its shear performance is four times stronger than current retention systems. Skandia’s pressure sensitive adhesive holds carpet in place. The product meets 25.853(a) flammability requirements. Available in one inch width.
DX Firehard foam with FireGuard jersey scrim gives passengers all the quality and comfort they expect from Skandia but now with superior fire protection. The laminated materials means reduced material processing and more ease of upholstery. FireGuard is a four-way stretch fire protective fabric with maximum durability for a long lasting wear life. Available in all varieties and .25” and .50” thickness.
